Coming March 2009: Another version of the "Shinbone Routine" is being tested by experimenters and results will be published 6 months from now (by March 31st, 2009). This routine does NOT involve microfractures and the method of sitting w/ ankle weights does NOT apply here. Instead, this routine includes 4 components: extended-seat cycling w/ heavy ankle wts, kicking w/ ankle wts, taking L-arginine (1500mg) & L-lysine (1500mg) on empty stomach before bedtime, and high-protein diet/milk (NO fats or sugar foods). It's believed that heavy-resistance repetitive motions (cycling w/ ankle wts) trigger piezo-electric bone remodeling and the huge release of growth hormones (from taking L-arginine/L-lysine) will direct the brain to naturally stimulate PROPORTIONAL height growth in the lower legs where most piezo-electric activities are localized (due to vigorous cycling & kicking)... FYI.. Have you ever noticed that some UFC fighters & Muay Thai kickboxing fighters you watch on TV have abnormally long legs? How about the fact that the pitching arms of MLB baseball players are abnormally longer? How about Jean Claude Van Damme's legs are unusually longer than most people? The theory behind these findings is that the repetitive "snapping" or kicking/biking movement triggers a direct release of growth hormone from the pituiary gland & piezo-electric currents to the lower legs. It's a fact that bones are living tissues. Loading (stressing) a bone produces in it a small electrical field called piezo electric force, that needed to stimulate new bone formation. The vibrating & vigorous cycling w/ ankle wts appears to work by triggering bones to generate tiny electric fields. These tiny currents may turn on genes that affect bone remodeling and growth. In the past a series of experiments showed that bone is piezoelectric, meaning that bending or deforming its crystal structure creates local electric currents. Traditionally it may take more than 2 years to achieve a 1/2 or 1 inch of shinbone growth in the lower legs from kicking everyday like Muay Thai kickboxers. However, our goal is to grow 1/2 inch within 6 to 10 months by utilizing heavy-resistance ankle weights while cycling/kicking and intake of growth hormone supplements (arginine/lysine). |
