Experiment # 1


Hanging on chin-bar

Method #1a: I’ve been stretching like off and on for about a year. I remember back then when my family used to live in Southwest Philadelphia, my father built a chin-up bar in the backyard. I was hanging, doing many pull-ups, and even knew how to do a couple swings & flips on the bar.

Method #1b: At another position.

Method #1c: Man, after doing 10 pull-ups, I begin to gasp for air (as you can see in the picture)…

Method #2: Another pull-up method to lengthen the spine by sitting down.

Method #3: King is hanging on a chin-up bar with ankle weights.

 

 

 


Experiment # 2

 

Jumping & basketball

I played basketball for almost 4 years. It seemed as if no matter how many gallons of vitamin D milk I drank, no matter how many jump shots I made, my spine seemed to never lengthen.. sadly, I thought, “This is quite a defeat to mankind!”

It has been a myth for so many years.. everyone was telling me, “drink lots of milk, play basketball and do lots of jumps, and you might grow taller.” Eventually I guess, maybe the reason that those NBA guys are so tall because they have good genes.

 

Back then, I was quite naive.. I thought that by playing basketball, and jumping up & down like a monkey may perhaps increase my height.. apparently, this does not seem to work (for me).

As far as I know it, growing taller with basketball has never happened to me. Yeah, basketball is fun. Wouldn’t it be nice if someday I could be a bit taller, and until then, my friends and other competitors may bow down to my extreme slam dunk and admit defeat.. j/k..
